DOULTON WATER FILTRATION SYSTEMS
In 1835, Queen Victoria recognized the health dangers in drinking
water and commissioned Doulton to produce a water filter for the
Royal household. By 1901, Henry Doulton had been knighted, and his
company honored by authorizing it to use the word "royal"
in reference to its products. The efficiency of Doulton domestic
water filters has been widely extended over the years to meet the
demands of increasingly sophisticated uses. Doulton ceramics are
now in use in over 150 countries.
A Closer Look Inside: Kieselguhr Ceramix - Stage One
Doulton ceramic is made from Kieselguhr Diatomaceous Earth and
fired to above 1000 degrees Celsius. Over 80,000 overlapping pores
make up each element. This feature provides absolute mechanical
filtration to .9 of a micron. 99.999% rejection of bacteria and
cysts. Bacteria and any other foreign particles as small as .2 of
a micron are trapped on the outside of the element while the water
passes through the ceramic wall to the inside of the element.
Why Bacteriostatic?
This simply means self-sterilizing. The entire ceramic wall is impregnated
with oligodynamic silver. Silver has been long proven as a disinfectant
which insures that bacteria trapped in the ceramic's pores are killed
thereby eliminating any threat of bacteria colonization.
The Core - Stages Two and Three
Inside the Ceramic shell is a post filter which is manufactured
by combining a zeolite metal ion reduction medium, granular carbon
and powdered carbon to form a tightly packed matrix. This post filter
provides two key features; Chemical Reduction chlorine., pesticides,
solvents, etc.) and Heavy Metal Reduction (lead, iron, aluminum,

These are outstanding, affordable, drinking water filter systems
which serve also as emergency water filters. This Doulton water
filter may be stored un-used in homes, businesses, automobiles,
etc. indefinitely. It is always ready for use!
The housings are manufactured from food grade, high density blue
polypropylene plastic. The housings are light weight and nearly
indestructible. They can accommodate one or two Doulton ceramic
candles. The upper chamber is filled with water which then gravity
feeds through the Doulton ceramic(s) into the lower chamber. An
easy to turn 90 degree on-off spigot is used as the outflow tap.
CS0700 2 stage 7 inch "Super Sterasyl" Doulton Ceramic
Drinking Water Filter candles are the recommended cartridges for
gravity systems. (note: CU1200 UltraCarb candles are designed for
pressure fed systems. They will work in gravity fed systems but
the flow rate is significantly reduced).
This unit is simple to assemble and requires no specialty tools.
The outflow spigot is the only item to be installed by the purchaser.
Assembly time is approximately 5 minutes. Detailed instructions

Doulton Drinking Water Filter System for Rural or City Applications
The HCP210 is two in-line pressure filter housings molded from Acetal
and Polyester materials or stainless steel, HSP 210 The housings
are fitted into a free standing base for counter top use. The unit
is readily attached to an existing cold water faucet via a valve
and a length of flexible tubing (supplied). This unit requires no
permanent modifications to be attached to a kitchen or bathroom
faucet. The diverter valve allows filtered or unfiltered water to
be drawn from the existing faucet at the press of a Button.
This system includes: a cleanable Doulton Ceramic Drinking Water
Filter cartridge: CU1200 UltraCarb Doulton Ceramic Candle for the
first housing and a disposable CM1500 VOC/Lead cartridge for the
second housing (see performance chart below).
To clean, service or replace either the CU1200 ceramic or CM1500
disposable cartridge, the "sump" (white section) is simply
unscrewed. The sump is pressure sealed with an "O" ring,
therefore no tools are required to loosen or tighten the sump into
place. Hand pressure is sufficient. Flow rate is .5GPM@30PSI.

is a complete system designed for Do It Yourself (DIY) under counter
installation. This system includes: Two (2) housing assemblies;
a faucet, a cleanable CU1200 UltraCarb Ceramic for the first housing
and a disposable CR2500 VOC/Heavy Metal cartridge for the second
housing .
This system's performance may also be expanded at any time by simply
"plugging" in additional housings. This system is packaged
"ready for installation" with all hardware required for
