The Halpin Tuneable Bodhran $375.00
Handcrafted in Canada this Celtic instrument is full of lure, mystery, culture and history. The Bodhran is a frame drum , it can come in many sizes but ours come in 15 to 19 inches by 4 inches deep. The leather trim is cowhide held by 1/2 inch brass screws at 2 inch intervals. The decorative trim at the bottom consists of a number of exotic veneers. The tuning ring is set into the inside of the rim and the tuning screws are set inside the rim with access from the bottom, a tuning tool is provided with each drum. The most important part of this drum is the playing surface. Top quality goat skin specially treated to handle and perform in all kinds of atmospheric conditions. Finally, the stick or tipper. These come in all shapes and sizes made with various woods. One tipper comes with each drum.
